Elevated WPC Deck in a Forest Setting

Materials: Capped WPC decking, aluminium railing system

Color: Slate grey

Dimensions: approx. 45–55 m²

Scope of work: foundation preparation, substructure construction, level adjustment, decking installation, staircase construction, railing installation, edge finishing, final inspection, quality control

Project Description

This project features a raised WPC decking terrace constructed around a modern single-storey home located in a forest environment. The goal was to create a durable outdoor platform that blends with the surrounding landscape while providing a stable, low-maintenance living space.
The elevated structure allows the building to adapt to uneven ground conditions without disturbing the natural terrain.

The terrace wraps around the façade and connects directly to the main living area via a central staircase. Clean architectural lines, dark metal railings, and light grey composite decking create a contemporary aesthetic that contrasts naturally with the surrounding forest.

The deck was built as a raised composite decking system, supported by a reinforced substructure and vertical support posts.

Technical Specifications
• Material: WPC composite decking boards
• Surface: Grooved anti-slip profile
• Construction type: Elevated deck on structural supports
• Approximate area: 45–55 m²
• Access: Central staircase with integrated railing system
• Edge finishing: Closed fascia boards
• Railing: Powder-coated metal posts with horizontal cable infill

The elevated construction improves ventilation and protects the decking from ground moisture, increasing the long-term durability of the system.

The full decking installation, including substructure, stair construction, and railing assembly, was completed in approximately 4–6 working days.

This project demonstrates the advantages of WPC composite decking for raised terraces:
• Moisture-resistant and weather-resistant
• Slip-resistant surface for safe access
• Structurally stable on uneven terrain
• Low maintenance compared to traditional wood decking
• Long service life with minimal upkeep

The finished terrace provides a functional outdoor extension of the living space, offering panoramic forest views while maintaining structural reliability.

Ask a question
What’s the difference between Classic WPC and Capped WPC?

Classic WPC is a solid composite board designed for long-term durability.

Capped WPC has an additional protective layer (a polymer shell) that makes it even more resistant to moisture, stains, and fading.
If your deck is exposed to rain, direct sun, or humidity — we recommend Capped WPC.

We ship within 2–7 business days, depending on your region. All orders are packed securely, and we cooperate only with reliable shipping partners to ensure safe delivery of your WPC boards, tiles, and accessories.
Can I install WPC decking myself? (DIY installation)
Yes, our WPC decking boards are designed for easy DIY installation. We provide clear installation guides, substructure diagrams, and step-by-step instructions. If needed, we can recommend verified installation teams. If you have basic tool skills, you can easily install your composite decking without professional help.
Does WPC decking require maintenance, painting, or oiling?
No. WPC decking is low-maintenance and does not require painting, sanding, oiling, or chemical treatment. To keep your composite boards clean, simply rinse them with warm water. WPC decking maintains its appearance for many years with minimal care — one of its biggest advantages over natural wood.
Is WPC decking slippery in winter, rain, or wet conditions?
No. All our WPC decking boards have a certified anti-slip surface (ideal for winter and wet conditions). The textured profile ensures safe walking on your terrace even during rain, frost, or high humidity — perfect for families, children, and outdoor areas.
Do WPC boards come with a warranty and what does it cover?
Yes, all our WPC boards include a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. It covers deformation, cracking, fading, and other defects related to production quality. We use certified, high-quality materials and stand behind the performance and durability of every WPC board we produce.
Can I order WPC decking samples to see the color and texture in real life?
Yes, you can order free WPC decking samples to evaluate the color, texture, and material quality at home. Samples help you visualize how the decking will look on your terrace and choose the perfect shade for your outdoor space.
